On 17 November 2011 the European Commission adopted a comprehensive Action Plan on Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) which unveils seven areas where measures are most necessary and 12 concrete actions to be implemented in close cooperation with the Member States. Their success requires joined efforts from the EU, the Member States, healthcare professionals, industry, farmers and many others.
In order to keep all interested parties informed about the progress, a AMR roadmap is now available which provide more details of the operational objectives, concrete activities and milestones.
The AMR roadmap will be updated at regular interval.
